Restaurant MAT at Folk Mat & Möten serves locally grown and seasonally adapted ingredients with a passion for the unusual. We work passionately to minimize food waste and other environmental impact by, among other things, baking crispbread on coffee grounds and using edged fruit for baking and jam! We also love to offer the little extra, which is why all bread is baked in our own stone oven bakery and we make our very own kombucha from scratch. Welcome!

OUR HISTORY

Our building was inaugurated in as early as 1947. Many are the people and meetings that have been housed by these walls over the years. Decisive decisions have been made, laughter has raged, and conversations have been deep. In recent years, the house itself has undergone an extensive renovation in order to create Malmö’s most modern and characterful meeting place. But creativity has been in the walls for a long time and every corner whispers to us about the stories of that time.
